Our Story: Brigita Golob and Aleš Schmautz
Family:
Two daughters aged 20 and 23
Background:
Brigita: I was working in advertising when I came across GNLD. I was in my twenties, it was 1990 and I saw the opportunity to be financially independent. I was active until 1994 when personal circumstances changed and I had to give up. I always knew I would come back and 10 years later I started again and built my activity to World Team level (second highest in GNLD).
Aleš: Employed as a machinist for seven years and when GNLD was presented to me I left my regular job. I’ve been with GNLD for 18 years.
What attracted you to GNLD?
The marketing plan, the challenge to help a large number of people and the potential for personal growth. GNLD is a company that provides us not only with excellent products but great support in logistics, marketing tools and training and enables us to travel and experience so many new things.
Describe a typical day:
We make monthly, weekly and daily plans. Every morning we start at around 7am. After breakfast we go through the daily plan and specifically our activity situation. At 10 o’clock we go out into the field. Our focus here is communication with as many people as possible, we arrange meetings, we also have our regular meetings with Directors and Senior Managers when we discuss their working methods (we follow their work, which is very important), exchange ideas and help improve their performance. Since we can plan our working hours ourselves we have a family lunch, sometimes with our daughters, where we talk among other things, also about GNLD. Sometimes in the afternoon we go for a walk together. As a family we adore sport, we cycle and ski and enjoy hiking in the mountains.
In GNLD evening hours we usually have experiences, meetings and presentations on our GNLD Opportunity where we discuss our marketing plan and the basis of our company – great products. Each working day is special because we determine the time spent for work and pleasure. There is also always the time saved for our family and friends. During the weekends we take advantage and go for a trip or go cycling, into the mountains or some social events with friends. Sunday is reserved for visiting parents and a nice Sunday lunch.
What motivates you?
The opportunity to improve our lifestyle and, very importantly, that we have this power to offer people a better tomorrow (in the sense of finances and health).
Has GNLD helped you achieve your ambitions?
Yes. Thanks to GNLD we managed to build our house, travel the world and we live comfortably. We have a lot of friends and we love our work which has become a way of life.
What is your proudest GNLD moment?
In GNLD there have been and will be many moments of pride. We definitely feel proud every month when we see that people, who recognise the benefits of this marketing plan, grow in activity and in a personal sense. That is proof for us that we are going in the right direction.
What do you like most about GNLD?
That you can always be more productive as a person. There are no limits to our goals.
What do you like least?
That some people do not recognise this opportunity that can help the entire family.
If you were Managing Director for the day, what would you change?
Nothing, since we have the best person for managing south-eastern Europe.
If you could go back, would you make the same choices?
Yes, absolutely. Many times we ask ourselves ‘where would we be’ if we hadn’t made that choice.
“Impossible becomes possible when you make a decision… where there is a will there is a way!”—Brigita Golob
