ORIFLAME, Sponsors of Northampton University Graduate Fashion Show.

As part of an initiative to attract younger people to get involved with the direct selling industry, Oriflame, UK recently sponsored the University of Northampton’s Graduate Fashion Show.

The ‘sold-out’ event held at Northampton’s historic Royal and Derngate theatre showcased the very best of the Graduates’ work of 2010/2011.  The catwalk was brought to life by the innovative designs and impressive portfolios of the students.

Oriflame donated beauty products as gifts for over 300 VIP guests and copies of their current catalogues were distributed to all attendees during both the day and evening performances, and for the first time a DSA brand was represented at the prestigious awards ceremony in the evening.

The Oriflame Award for ‘Portfolio Excellence’ was presented to Gemma Darby whose exceptional concepts and innovative textile designs drew applause from Judges  and the audience alike.

Oriflame’s Kirsten Neal, who organised this partnership with Northampton University, and who presented Gemma with the award said “The catwalk show was fantastic, the enthusiasm the graduates have for fashion and beauty was reflected in how professional and well executed their final collections were. In sponsoring this event we’ve shown that Oriflame are keen to encourage and support young, talented people who strive to achieve what they want from life.”

Kirsten went on to say “The benefits for us were great too, Oriflame enjoyed brand exposure not only during the day and evening Fashion Shows – but also in the national press prior to and after the event , through the University’s campaign at London Fashion Week. We are looking forward to being associated with Northampton University in the future and we certainly hope to be involved with more exciting University projects on campus.”
