FOREVER LIVING PRODUCTS – EUROPEAN RALLY
NO LIMITS IN VIENNA!

The Wiener Stadthaller in Vienna hosted the Forever Living Products European Rally on April 15-16, 2011. The huge venue held 10,000 distributors from over 35 countries gathered for two days of inspiration, recognition and entertainment. This audience of 10,000 included over 650 distributors from the UK and Iceland, and 120 distributors from Ireland.

The event was led by Aidan O’Hare, Vice President Europe and keynote speakers included the company’s founder, Chairman and CEO, Rex Maughan and his son Gregg, the current President.

On the first day of the event the atmosphere was electric even before the start of the Rally, as distributors gathered in their country groups outside the venue. Some attendees were in national costume (with the distributors from Kazakhstan looking particularly impressive) and it seemed that just about everyone had a national flag to wave. Once the doors opened the excitement continued to build until the Rally started with a spectacular entrance by Rex Maughan and his wife Ruth. The day was a mixture of recognition and entertainment. Highlights included the keynote speech from Gregg Maughan and the awarding of the first groups of Profit Share cheques—a payment on top of the normal monthly bonus for those distributors who had achieved the qualification criteria in 2010. On the first day, the total amount given out in Profit Share was over 1.7 million euros. The recognition ceremony included recognition of the top ten European distributors, with the UK’s Jayne Leach and John Curtis taking 3rd place.

The second day started with a 2-hour training session from 5 top Distributors from around the world based on the company’s theme for 2011 of ‘No Limits’. This inspirational training truly demonstrated that for those distributors with the commitment, passion and energy to push their businesses forward there are indeed no limits as to what can be achieved with Forever.

The remainder of day two was a blend of top class entertainment, recognition, a review of 2010 from Rex Maughan, and the presentation of the remaining Profit Share cheques. Rex outlined the substantial investment that had been made in 2010 in new production and distribution facilities. In particular, Rex referred to the development of the Forever Nutraceutical processing plant which now produces 500,000 nutritional products per month. A major new distribution centre has also been approved to continue to improve the Company’s International logistics. Distributors were updated on the development of new and emerging markets for Forever and the also introduction of new products. Rex then highlighted many countries which are showing substantial growth, including Ireland where the growth in 2010 was an impressive 23 percent.

Day two of the event also saw the ‘Country Pride’ award go to Switzerland. This award is given to the country whose distributors demonstrate throughout the Rally their enthusiasm and their support of their own and other nations’ distributors.

Once the recognition and the entertainment were complete, arrangements for next year’s events were released. The announcement for next year’s World Rally to be held in Hong Kong created great excitement. The next European Rally is to be held in Budapest.

Finally, amid great excitement came the presentation of the top 3 Profit Share cheques and for the UK contingent. The suspense became unbearable as UK distributors Jayne Leach & John Curtis were amid the last 3 achievers, then the last 2 achievers. At last came a huge cheer from the UK group as Aidan O’Hare announced that the UK Distributors had been awarded the top Profit Share Cheque—a massive 540,777 Euros. The total amount given out in Profit Share cheques on the day was 6,184,549 Euros.

Bob Parker, Managing Director for UK, Ireland and Iceland was confident that distributors’ attendance at the Rally would inspire them to achieve more with their businesses, would encourage them to set more stretching goals, and would help them to develop the mind-set which says “there are NO LIMITS!”

Forever Distributors complete both Vienna and London Marathons

Forever Living distributor Adrian Poynter was disappointed when he thought he would miss out on completing the London Marathon this year, as along with his colleagues from FLP UK he was due to attend the annual FLP Rally held in Vienna.

Upon checking the website Adrian realised that a marathon was to be run in Vienna that same weekend!

Forever Living Distributors Adrian Poynter, Tammy Hobson, Hazel Loutsis, Phil Loutsis and Greg Davidson, known as the ‘Intrepid British Famous Five’ completed the Vienna marathon on the Sunday following the European Rally. Adrian said, “When all five of us finished the race including the three marathon ‘virgins’ who posting excellent times, I felt so proud of all of us. We put in a great deal of time and effort to ensure we finished the 26.2 miles (42.2 kms) route.” He added, “There should also be a special thank you to the British contingent of fanatical supporters who shouted and waved their flags rallying the tired runners!  And I would also like to mention that Andrea Taylor-Cummings completed her first marathon on the same Sunday at the London Marathon.”
