Exciting Times for the Direct Selling Association of Ireland
THE Direct Selling Association of Ireland (DSAI) reports an increased interest in membership over the past few months.
ACN have recently joined and Miglio are presenting at the October Council meeting with a view to joining.
There are several other companies in the process of discussing membership so the DSAI should be considerably larger by 2010.
The last few months saw the start of our national PR campaign.
An agency has been appointed and at the time of writing there has already been considerable national Irish coverage for the concept of Direct Selling and specifically the DSAI.
The media are particularly interested in Direct Selling as the depressed economy in Ireland is looking for alternative ways of earning an income and our industry is the perfect way.
The acceptance of the Irish Codes by the European Consumer Centre (ECC) has helped our credibility enormously especially now that our members appear on their website as safe companies to deal with. Our close relationship with the National Consumer Agency (NCA) and the imminent acceptance of our codes by them is also adding credibility to our membership.
More excitement comes on Tuesday 20th October when following our AGM and Council meeting, we hold our annual Awards Dinner. This will be held at the Grand Hotel Malahide, near the airport, north of Dublin and apart from the excitement of the awards, there will be the evening’s entertainment from the Illegal Eagles.
The DSAI would love to welcome non-members to their dinner to give them a chance to experience the amazing “Irish factor” that makes Ireland such an exciting Direct Selling environment.
Anyone interested in coming to enjoy themselves with us at the Dinner should contact Roger Brown, Secretary General on +44(0)1604 890925 or email
