The Vemma recipe for health and wealth!
Vemma Europe was established in 2006 and since then sales of its pioneering nutritional products have increased by a phenomenal 30 – 40 per cent every year. As the company continues to experience rapid growth, features writer MADELINE CLARK finds out more about Vemma’s quest to bring health and wealth to customers and Distributors across the globe.
DESPITE the world recession, Vemma Europe has not only been experiencing one of the most dramatic growth trends in the company’s history but also within the direct selling industry.
Throughout 2009 sales of Vemma’s ready-to-drink nutritional products have increased steadily month after month and this pattern looks set to continue, as the company goes from strength to strength.
Vemma Europe was established just four years ago by internet entrepreneur Simon Grabowski and network marketing veteran Fred Stege when they met up with BK Boreyko, the founder of Vemma in the USA. They were inspired by Boreyko’s vision of spreading health and wealth through pioneering nutritional products, which offered a food supplement and energy drink in one. They felt there was nothing else like it on the European market and decided to bring the company to Europe.

Since then joint CEO’s Simon and Fred have never looked back. “Vemma is in great shape,” said Simon. “We are seeing rapid growth in Europe and we are staffed up and hungry to grow even further. Vemma provides a means of meeting both the nutritional and financial needs of our Members while also helping others to improve their health and wealth.”
Simon, is no stranger to success. He became a millionaire at the age of 20 and developed an email marketing product, Get Response.com, which is used by tens of thousands of entrepreneurs and businesses and is among the top 1,500 most popular sites on the internet. Meanwhile, co-founder Fred Stege has more than 17 years’ network marketing experience and also owns several other companies.

Simon believes Vemma Europe’s rapid success since the launch in 2006 has a lot to do with the fact that it is such a unique product. Simon explained, “What makes Vemma so different from similar products is that it is a super-charged, liquid nutrition programme that provides all your daily nutritional needs in one 59ml daily serving. It is made from natural ingredients and provides a full spectrum of vitamins, essential minerals and powerful superfoods, such as the mangosteen fruit (a key ingredient), sour cherry, broccoli sprout, grape skin, quercetin, organically-certified aloe and green tea that are known to protect health and may also slow down the ageing process by supporting cell regeneration. Its main strength is the synergy of its ingredients, which means that people don’t need to take any other supplements.
This year the company launched Vemma Premium Europe, a new, much more powerful formula which has been specially prepared for European markets and complies with strict European regulations.
Simon explained, “In the nutrition industry we have to comply with these strict regulations to be able to sell our products in Europe. This means it can take quite a long time to develop business in Europe because we have to get permission to sell in every country. Vemma Premium is 100 per cent compliant with European law so can be advertised within any media channel or newspaper in Europe.”
Simon added, “Our other product is Verve, a revolutionary energy drink. Like other energy drinks it comes in 245ml cans, but unlike other energy drinks, Verve offers an energy boost - plus, it’s also a health drink, spiked with vitamins, minerals and powerful antioxidants.”
Vemma Europe, which has its Head Offices in County Kildare, Ireland, also has offices in Poland and is now active in 32 European countries with over 8,000 Distributors across Europe. Four of its biggest markets are Austria, the Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland. Last year saw further expansion into the dynamic markets of Turkey, Romania and Ukraine. Internationally Vemma operates in over 40 countries.
The company puts much of its rapid success down to not only its fantastic products but also to its highly competitive compensation plan that offers a lucrative, points system that’s easy for anyone to grasp. It also offers an excellent commission payout which, Simon points out, is often significantly higher than that of its competitors. Many Distributors join the company on a part-time basis, as a source of additional income, but eventually go full time as their business takes off.

Simon pointed out, “Vemma Europe equips Members with all the tools they need to build their businesses successfully. VemmaSuite is an all-in-one suite of seven powerful internet tools that allows Members to send emails to their downline, run video conferences, manage their contacts, and send emails to many people at once and much more.”
Having all the latest technology at your fingertips is a big advantage of working for a company run by an internet entrepreneur. The VemmaSuite was developed by one of Simon’s companies.
However, Simon is adamant that Vemma Europe is very much a people business and that one-to-one relationships, friendships and leadership development is at the core of the company’s success.
“Our biggest strength is our people in the field who are promoting our products on an everyday basis, telling people about the advantages of Vemma and what it can do for them,” he said.
“New Consultants are inspired by our existing Leaders who support and encourage them to build their teams, bearing in mind that the more people you have in your team the more sales you will create and the more income you will create. It is important that people on the lowest levels are encouraged to build their teams to ensure growing sales.”

Every year the company brings people together at an Annual European Convention where Members can exchange experiences, and take up additional training opportunities. On 28 - 30th May, Vemma will stage the ‘Right Here, Right Now!’ convention, a three-day event in Vienna, to be attended by 1,000 people. The information-packed event will feature talks by guest speakers, including well known US entrepreneur and business coach Brian Tracy. There will also be opportunities to meet and talk with Vemma’s Top Leaders and Management. The event will incorporate an Academy Day, with opportunities to learn more about Vemma products and how best to promote them. There will also be tips on how Members can improve their businesses and build their teams.
At present the company’s two main products available in Europe are Vemma and Verve but plans are afoot to introduce two exciting new products to the European market – one specially formulated for children and the other for athletes. These two groundbreaking products ‘Thirst’ for athletes (in the form of a powder which is mixed with water) and ‘Vemma Next’ for children are currently available in the USA and will be launching in Europe soon.
“Other plans for the future include continuing expansion within Europe and beyond,” Simon explained. “We are particularly thrilled about the opportunity to build the Vemma business in high-potential markets such as Sweden, Italy and Poland and that’s where a lot of our focus will be in the coming year.”

The company is also keen to enhance operations and add new facilities and service centres for existing Members. Said Simon, “Our goal is to become a ‘local’ network marketing company in each of the countries where we do business - with local cultures, training materials, leadership and, of course, member services. We believe this core strategy will help us to solidify our position among leaders of the direct selling industry within Europe.”

New Vemma Premium, launched in February, is a comprehensive, daily nutritional programme designed to meet the nutritional needs of 21st century Europeans.
