Evening Entertainment

The WFDSA (World Federation of Direct Selling Associations) Regional Conference Istanbul, 5 October 2011.

In her opening speech Candan Corbacioglu of Amway and Chair of the WFDSA Regional Conference Organising Committee welcomed several hundred direct selling executives from all over the world to Istanbul, where famously East meets West.

The event signaled the end of an era for Andrea Jung’s Chairmanship at the WFDSA, as she introduced her successor to the role, Allesandro Carlucci, CEO of Natura. Also present among the executives were Doug DeVos of Amway, Truman Hunt of Nu Skin and Magnus Brannstrom of Oriflame.

Present too were many interesting and informative speakers, including Paul Dobson, UK DSA Code Administrator; Marie Lacroix, Seldia’s Director of Internal Affairs; and Judy Jones of Avon, to name but a few.

Away from the conference the evening entertainment proved to be colourful and exotic! Not least when the delegates were transported to an historic Ottoman mansion on the Bosporus, where they sampled Turkish food, watched regional dancers and listened to an Ottoman military band.
