ANNUAL CONFERENCE & AWARDS DINNER ... ‘Come Fly with Us’
The 2011 Annual Conference and Awards Dinner was held on May 12, 2011 at the prestigious venue of Heythrop Park in Oxfordshire, with the theme ‘Come Fly with Us.’
The programme was very different from previous years’ reflecting the views of members via feedback forms from past conferences. Delegates were invited to ‘Check In’ at 11 a.m. before visiting the ‘Around the World’ exhibition of 20 suppliers and enjoying a networking lunch with International flavours. Delegates were then ‘called to board their flight’ and listened to presentations given in the theatre at Heythrop, which was of course propped as an aircraft, complete with Air Hostesses and a Flight Captain, alias Niel Spiers of Herbalife.
The speaker line-up for the afternoon was Jamie Stewart, Kleeneze and DSA Chair, Lars Tewes of SBR Consulting, Vicky Beckett of Arbonne UK and Ireland, Richard McCann, a motivational speaker, Bob Parker of FLP and finally Paul Southworth of the UK DSA.
The evening commenced with a Pimms Reception held in the Great Hall at Heythrop, and here Richard Berry, who recently retired as Director of the UK DSA, took the opportunity to say good-bye to all his DSA colleagues. Richard was presented with a book of memories signed by all the delegates at the Conference.
Dinner was followed by eight Industry awards and a very special finale to the evening when Ric Hobby of Herbalife was inducted into the UK Hall of Fame for his unstinting service to the Industry.

UK DSA Director General attends US DSA Meeting in Miami
Paul Southworth attended the US DSA Annual meeting at the Fontainebleau Resort, Miami Beach on June 5th. Paul was invited to speak at the International Council and was pleased to receive interest from U.S. companies looking to expand into the UK and Europe.
