My Story: Chantal Rebin
Joined Nutrimetics in May 1994
Family: Married with two grown-up children
Position in Nutrimetics: Regional Manager with annual turnover of €700,000
Background: Started work in an insurance company before moving into retail where she managed a baby and toy shop for four years.
What attracted you to this business?
I knew nothing about direct selling when I was introduced to Nutrimetics by my cousin and became a customer. I appreciated immediately the products and the party plan way of selling… very friendly and warm and at the same time professional. At this time I was not working and so I discovered the earnings opportunity offered by Nutrimetics which seemed just right for me.
Describe a typical day.
My working day starts with telephone calls from about 8am to Beauty Consultants and District Managers in my team and also to some of my own customers. This allows me to stay very close to the field group and to what is happening among consumers, which enables me to manage my team better. Two mornings a week are devoted to calls of this kind to carry out business reviews and ensure action plans are in place and progress is being made. At other times I am recruiting, training and supporting team members in various ways through personalised action planning and coaching, recognition and celebration!
What is your prime motivation?
The ability to earn a good living, sharing my experience with others and seeing them blossom and hopefully acting as a role model to inspire them to succeed. After one year as a Regional Manager my aim is to increase my region which means winning competitions and incentives arranged by the company.
Has Nutrimetics helped you achieve your dreams?
Yes indeed, many of my dreams have come true starting with my success in reaching this level having started as a Beauty Consultant. Few companies offer this kind of career path. I love the fact that our family’s standard of living has been improved through my earnings. For example, five years ago we built a new home designed for us by an architect, and two years ago added a swimming pool into the garden! Also, my success has allowed us to travel widely to the USA, Africa and Indonesia as well as within Europe, wonderful trips that would not have been possible previously. It has been amazing to experience these beautiful places and stay in beautiful hotels, which has always been a personal dream. Now my latest dream is to double the size of my region which will of course help others to achieve their dreams too.
What was your proudest Nutrimetics moment?
Promoting new District Managers within my team is always a proud moment as it recognises their hard work and dedication. This is a big celebration and an important moment in their life and in mine. I still remember the moment I became a Regional Manager and the recognition from my team each day which is so powerful and encourages me all the time.
What do you like best about Nutrimetics?
The people I meet every day and all those around me – they have become like my second family – and the respect we have for each other.
What do you like least?
There is really nothing that I don’t like.
If you were CEO for the day, what would you change?
I don’t see any big changes but perhaps I would like to find a way to accelerate the number of promotions to district manager which would help us all to grow.
If you had your time again, would you make the same choices?
No – I would hope to find Nutrimetics earlier!
