Cooking up a Storm in Bracknell-Official opening of new offices on 6th October 2009
Direct selling kitchenware company, The Pampered Chef, is marking 10 successful years of trading in the UK with a move to larger premises capable of holding their Corporate and Support Services teams.
The Pampered Chef is made up of over 2,300 Independent Consultants, based all over the UK, who run their own businesses, selling high quality kitchenware at in-home cooking shows.
The move has been prompted by impressive sales figures that have been 8 per cent higher this year than last. Recruitment figures are also up 16 per cent on last year and the company has ambitious growth plans for the year ahead, ensuring that they continue to buck the economic downturn.
Vanessa Clayton, Director of Marketing and Communications UK and Ireland at Pampered Chef, comments, “We are excited about our move to larger premises in Bracknell as it not only marks our 10th year in the UK but also the success and growth that the company has achieved in that time. We have recruited locally to put together a strong Solution Centre Services Team.”
The company is also marking this milestone year with a donation to Cancer Research UK for over £500,000. The company sold a range of pink kitchen products in October with a percentage of the cost going directly to the charity. In addition to this, The Pampered Chef, is donating the extra 2.5 per cent of VAT that has been charged on products since VAT was reduced earlier this year to Cancer Research UK.
The Pampered Chef originated in the US 29 years ago and today has many thousands of independent Consultants taking advantage of a fun and flexible business opportunity worldwide. Such is its success, the company is now part of the Berkshire Hathaway Group of Investments, headed up by Warren Buffet.
