Better Together!

A Marie Curie nurse working in the community

BetterwareBETTERWARE UK has pledged to raise a minimum of £30,000 for the Marie Curie Cancer Care charity through sales from its autumn catalogues and various national fundraising events run by the sales force and head office employees.

A recent catalogue carried the charity’s logo and promotes a specially commissioned ‘daffodil yellow’ step-stool on the front cover, while there is more information about the partnership and dedicated products contained inside.

Managing Director Rob Way said, “We are very excited and proud to be partnering with Marie Curie Cancer Care and feel it will be a very close and ongoing partnership. The key to choosing Marie Curie Cancer Care was the strong link to our communities. Betterware sales teams have been working in the heart of their communities for over 80 years, providing practical products to customers and offering a very personal service, right to their door. Marie Curie Nurses provide the most vital, personal and practical care in those, same communities at a time when people need it most, that’s a very powerful link for us.

“As Betterware Distributors and Coordinators are based all over the country, activities such as Blooming Great Tea Parties will work not just as a fantastic fundraising event but also as a great team building tool” says Nardia Crowther, Marie

Curie Cancer Care’s Corporate

Fundraiser. “We will be supporting the Betterware team with fundraising tips on their internal website and will be promoting seasonal fundraising ideas via their newsletters.”

Marie Curie Cancer Care supporters are also being offered the opportunity to register as Fundraising Distributors with Betterware. They will then receive catalogues to distribute to family and friends, with 20 per cent of sales generated
being donated to the charity.

Rob Way confi rmed that Betterware will be continuing its fundraising partnership with Marie Curie Cancer Care throughout 2010 and into 2011. “The company and sales force very much look forward to strengthening ties further
with this outstanding charity,” he said.
