
Palacio real de Madrid: The palace has the distinction of being the largest royal palace in Europe, with a combined area of over 135,000 m² and more than 2,800 rooms. It is the official residence of the King of Spain in the city of Madrid, however, King Juan Carlos and the Royal Family do not reside in it. The palace is partially open to the public, except when it is being used for official business.
